Dear Autopay,

How to stop Albert auto-debits

Want Albert (Instant Advance) to stop pulling money from your bank? Here's how to revoke your ACH authorization for Albert in plain steps: tell Albert in writing, tell your bank, and keep proof.

Steps to revoke Albert's ACH authorization

  1. Make your letter. Use the Dear Autopay letter tool to fill in a Albert revocation letter and a bank letter in about 2 minutes.
  2. Send it to Albert. Email the letter to support@albert.com from the email on your Albert account. Their channel: Turn off Smart Money, then email support@albert.com or text 639-37. Also tell your bank. Unlink other bank accounts if you don't want Albert pulling from them.
  3. Tell your bank. Send the bank letter, or call your bank and ask it to stop payment and block future debits from Albert. Banks must honor a stop payment made at least 3 business days before a scheduled debit.
  4. Keep proof. Save a copy or screenshot of what you sent and the date.
  5. Watch your statement. Check your account after the next scheduled debit date. If a debit posts after you revoked, contact your bank promptly.

⏰ Albert notice period: At least 3 banking days before the next debit. Your bank: at least 3 business days before the debit. Debits already scheduled or processing may still go through.
